Anton Pultz

Anton is heart-breakingly romantic, but not in the traditional sense...

For years, he took risks and talked to women he thought he could have a connection with, only to be let down every single time. He was eventually jaded by this repeated failure and then convinced that every pretty face he met was a mere distraction from something ugly. He refused to settle for any of these false beauties, he would rather lead a lonely life until he found his soul mate.

It was by chance that he happened to find her. On one particularly dreary walk home from work, Anton fell into a very deep love with Elizabeth. It was her laugh that drew him to her; somehow just hearing her genuine little laugh cost him his heart and devotion. Now he had to work up the courage to talk to her.

Anton is in his thirties. The excessive amounts of stress in his life (mostly brought on by his own state of mind) adds a couple of years to his face and subtracts a bit from his hairline. Still, he was confident that he and Liz would be together for the rest of their lives. No other man could possibly be as good for her as he could be. He started walking home from work every sunny day, hoping to steal a glimpse of his distant angel. He became a much happier man, his hope in love was replenished. Liz, he was convinced, was his last chance at happiness.

  1. Love the way you depict Anton's perception of love and a path to happiness. The links are very clever :)
